Saturday, June 23 —6:00 – 9:00 pm: FREE Admission. FREE Parking. FREE Music on 3 stages. Stroll historic Main Street in Jackson and enjoy a variety of sounds, including blues by Two-Tone Steiny, the Brad Wilson Band, and the Speakeasy Jazz Orchestra. Shops and local restaurants will be open. Choose your “Art by the Inch” from local artists. Buy a $20 commemorative wine glass and drop in at 30 businesses to taste 30 Amador wines, sip at a Beer Garden, and just have a jazzin’ good time.
At several entry points to Main Street is where you’ll get a map of the event and be able to purchase your $20 event wine glass. Three stages, one at each end, and one in the middle of Main Street , will feature our bands, each of which have been sponsored, thanks to Jackson Rancheria, Holiday Inn Express, and the Main Event and Café de Coco. There will be other street entertainment, and “Art by the Inch”, organized by Millie Butler, will give event goers opportunities to buy sections of murals painted on heavy paper by local professional artists and youth. Many volunteers are working to make this June 23rd event another success like the first one last year. AmadorArts appreciates the City of Jackson and the Jackson Business and Community Association for helping to handle many of the event logistics. Gale Fairbrother is the Event Coordinator. |
